Improving Productivity with Statistical Process Control - Basic Course
This 2 day program is designed for quick, efficient learning of SPC basics that production workers can immediately apply in their work environment. The program covers the basic concepts and tasks of collecting data, calculating values and constructing control charts. And it goes a step further, by explaining how to use SPC data to uncover problems, and then apply basic techniques to analyze those problems, giving you useful solutions.
Rationale
Basic Statistical Process Control provides the vital skills to keep processes in control - and build a base for continuous improvement and drive process consistencies. SPC is a very effective method of monitoring a process through the use of control charts. By collecting data from samples at various points within the process, variations in the process that may affect the quality of the end product or service can be detected and corrected, thus reducing waste and as well as the likelihood that problems will be passed on to the customer. SPC is used to detect and prevent problems as early as possible in the production process preventing the waste in resources and waste in time spent working on defective products. SPC is a valuable tool for both cost reduction and for customer satisfaction.
Benefits of SPC
- Detect and correct defects in processes before they become problems
- Reduce waste in time and resources
- Reduce your costs and increase your profits
- Increase your customer satisfaction levels
Seminar Objectives:
At the end of the seminar/workshop, the participants are expected to:
- List the basic concepts and principles of statistics, probability, variation, measurements and control as it is applied to work situations.
