Learning to see Value with VSM (A Lean Approach)

This 1 day program will introduce you to the fundamentals of value stream mapping analysis using the LEAN tools in order to identify opportunities for the application of lean production methods and achieving cycle time reduction.

What is VSM and what can it do for you?

One of the key concepts of Lean is to create value for your customers. VSM is a visualization technique to help you analyze your system in order to identify which processes add value and which do not add value for your customers.

Most business processes and organizations are extremely complex. It is often very difficult to analyze and explain the relationships between processes or even adjacent workstations using words only.

Visual tools such as VSM help convey enough information to expose the processes, relationships, hidden waste and time-constrained behavior. VSM promotes a deeper understanding leading to consensus and can bring about major breakthroughs in productivity and performance.
