Focused Improvement: 7 QC Tools and 7 New Tools

This training program aims to give the participant the skills to use the different tools to analyze production problems, plot out the root causes of these problems and derive the needed actions to effect improvement. The training is conducted in the environment of Lean Manufacturing and stresses the principles of continuous improvement to achieve competitive advantage.

“This could really help me in providing right solutions to our quality issues and be able to cascade my learnings to my colleagues and co-employees. I've learned other tools that I may use in solving quality issues.”

Bonifacio Signo
Delta Design Philippines LLC

Rationale

The tools presented in this 2 day workshop will allow you to build quality into every phase of your production system or service delivery. Many successful companies already use the 7 QC Tools and the 7 New Tools developed by Kaoru Ishikawa, a renowned quality expert from Japan. The 7 QC tools allow you to measure existing quality problems while the seven new QC tools make it possible for you to plan wide-ranging and detailed Total Quality Control objectives throughout the entire organization. This program goes one step further higher and teaches the participants how to present the results to their customers and upper management.

Seminar Benefits

At the end of the seminar, participants are expected to be able to:

  • Use the fundamental principles of problem-solving in your operations
  • Apply quality tools and methods
  • Comment critically on corrective actions raised as a result of applying the tools
  • Interpret and measure the effectiveness of implemented solutions

Rationale

Companies today need to have simple and effective analytical tools at hand as well as the skilled and trained staff to use these tools. Organizations now have a pressing need to be more productive. One of the organization's main purposes is to identify and solve problems and to do that effectively, teams need to apply a systematic approach to problem-solving.

The participant will be immersed in the ways of Kaizen, the Deming tips and 6-SIGMA imperatives. These ‘Focused Improvement’ disciplines and structure will drive your team/s towards desired levels of excellence. The participant will learn how to use various QC tools, how they are used to communicate, review and monitor, and utilizing inter-creative ways of ‘ideation’ to shape up an implementation plan.

The use of quality tools and methods will enhance the problem-solving proficiency of the team and take full advantage of its varied capabilities. The use of these tools and methods does not end here. The critical analysis of proposed solutions and, indeed, the implemented solutions themselves, are part and parcel of the whole problem-solving process.
